World AIDS Day 2015

Dear Friends,

I’m hoping that the warmth and trust between us will allow me to be utterly frank. The Foundation is currently funding 140 projects in 15 countries. Every month we receive unsolicited requests from another 140 projects in the same 15 countries. We can’t fund them. We don’t have the money. But in the absence of funding, there’s a life and death struggle going on at the grassroots among thousands of women and children struggling to survive. This isn’t hyperbole. It’s the exact truth. The big sources of finance are cutting back or stagnating. The modest sources, like our Foundation, are struggling valiantly to make up the difference. The world is out of whack when it comes to HIV and AIDS. I appeal to you to help.
