Why Turning the Tide?
The Turning the Tide Campaign is borne out of our deep commitment to the millions upon millions of Africans who refuse to give up on their lives, families and future. Over the last six years, we have watched the steady growth and increasing reach of the community-based organizations we fund in 15 countries. These groups have pioneered some of the most inventive approaches to the AIDS crisis we have ever seen.
We want to scale up these brilliant innovations across sub-Saharan Africa and fund hundreds more like them – and if we do, we assure you, they will turn the tide of the pandemic and restore hope to their communities.
But we need your help. When one part of humanity is under siege, it is up to the more privileged part to respond. Join the Campaign: by supporting the grassroots, we can build momentum. We can bring about a world where AIDS is not a death sentence but a manageable and treatable illness.
