2005 Massey Lectures
In the fall of 2005, Stephen Lewis presented the Massey Lectures. In a series of 5 lectures, he spoke of the ravaging of Africa by HIV and AIDS as witnessed by him in his role as UN Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa; the Millennium Development Goals intended to alleviate the situation; and the failure of the international community to even come close to meeting these goals.
The Massey Lectures are co-sponsored by CBC Radio, House of Anansi Press and Massey College in the University of Toronto. They were broadcast in November 2005 as part of CBC Radio's Ideas series.
