Canadian grandmothers continue to prove themselves a force to be reckoned with: there are now nearly 200 grandmother groups across Canada and beyond, with more joining the Grandmothers to Grandmothers campaign each month. All across the country, groups of committed, imaginative women are raising funds and awareness to support grandmothers in Africa through the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
To date, the Grandmothers Campaign has raised well over $2 million — enabling SLF to increase much-needed funding to grandmothers and their orphaned grandchildren in 15 coutnries across sub-Saharan Africa.
