Thousands of people are holding events across Canada to raise awareness about the AIDS pandemic and raise funds for the Stephen Lewis Foundation, which supports community-based oroganizations that are turning the tide of HIV and AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa.

Stephen Lewis, Co-Director of AIDS-Free World and Chair of the Board of the Stephen Lewis Foundation, will be speaking to more than 1000 delegates attending the CAW's Constitutional and Collective Bargaining Convention on Tuesday, August 21.

Plus, delegates will vote on a proposal to create the largest private sector union in Canada, in solidarity with the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union (CEP) – a move that would mark the largest ever coming together of unions in Canadian history.
