Donate Securities
Increasingly, individual donors have opted to donate stocks and securities to the Stephen Lewis Foundation. Gifts of publicly-traded stocks and securities are exempt from capital gains tax. The Foundation has set up a system to make this as effortless as possible. Tax receipts will be valued based on the closing price of the date upon which the shares are transferred to the Foundation’s brokerage account.
