Foundation Staff

Our Executive Director

The Foundation's Executive Director is Ilana Landsberg-Lewis, a passionate advocate for the human rights of women, a labour and human rights lawyer and Stephen's eldest daughter. Ilana spent eight years working with the United Nations Development Fund for Women (www.unifem.org) working to advance the human rights of women internationally, and to strengthen the U.N.'s support to implement the Convention to Eliminate All Forms of Discrimination against Women.

The Foundation strives to keep its administrative costs as low as possible. The Foundation's full-time staff:

On a part-time basis, the Foundation also employs:

The Stephen Lewis Foundation relies on the expertise of five African and Africa-based field representatives who act as our eyes and ears on-the-ground: Ky'okusinga Kirunga, Ida Mukuka, Jenny Parsley, Gizaw Shibru and Lucy Steinitz. They assess, monitor and evaluate the Foundation's projects on our behalf.
